Monitoring an aerobic water clarification system by measuring the compressor delivery pressure. The correct supply of air for the aerobic clarification in the final basin of a small three-basin water clarification system is monitored by checking the delivery pressure of the compressor. A pressure switch is fitted in a branch line from the delivery pipe to ensure that there is no escape of air through faulty piping or couplings. Set at about 210 mbar, dependent on the compressor used, it will operate below this value to warn the user of a faulty operation and permit him to take immediate action.
