The spectacles frame holder (10) has a support arm (12) attached at one end to a construction component (16) and provided at the opposite end with an open seating (14) for receiving the nose bridge of a spectacles frame, provided with a cooperating closure element (32), operated via an electromagnetic drive (46), for sliding the closure element parallel to the longitudinal axis of the support arm. A sensor (80) may provide an alarm signal if the closure element is moved without simultaneous operation of the drive.
