An electric fuel pump wherein blade members (31) on an outer circumferential portion of an impeller (30) are arranged in a divided and staggered manner on outer and inner surfaces of a partition wall (32) so that the outer circumferential surfaces of the blade members (31) project outward beyond the outer circumferential surface of the partition wall (32), whereby a fuel entering blade grooves (33) formed in a divided manner in the outer and inner sides of the partition wall does not simultaneously impinge upon an end surface (9b) of a radial seal portion (9a), so that noise which is ascribed to the impingement of the fuel can be reduced, this arrangement being also able to prevent the occurrence of a reverse flow region directly above the partition wall (32), so that a pumping efficiency can be improved.
