The granules and pigment are mixed together in a fine grinding mill (5). Independent claims are made for: a) the process plant including a fine grinding mill (5) in which pigment is added to the finely milled polyethylene (PE) powder; b) a use for a toothed disc mill with a grooved disc stator and a grooved disc rotor for fine milling and pigmenting of PE granules. Preferred Features: 0.2-2.0wt% of is metered into the granules and milling is carried out at 75-85 degrees C, preferably 78-82 degrees C. The colored powder is removed from the mill by a suction line (6) and fed via a cyclone (7) into a vibrating sieve (9). The fine particles are directed into an intermediate container (11) from which the desired powder quantities are drawn off and oversized particles are recycled to the mill. |
