PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod capable of more sensitively sensing a delicate strike and good even in biting of a bait, in various kinds of fishings using a reel. SOLUTION: This fishing rod is obtained by installing a reel leg fixing device 1 in a grip handle 2 and arranging line guide rings 4A, 4B and 4a to 4e on the lower side on the rod tip side of a rodlike unit. The line guide rings 4A, 4B and 4a to 4e comprise one or more line guide rings for coming into contact with a fishing line passed from a reel to the rod tip without slackness when horizontally holding the fishing rod with the line guide rings facing downward and one or more line guide rings for coming into contact with the fishing line when a fish is hooked and the fishing rod is bent without coming into contact with the fishing line passed from the reel to the rod tip without slackness when horizontally holding the fishing rod with the line guide rings facing downward.
