PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink jet recording head which prevents generation of cracks to a diaphragm. SOLUTION: A piezoelectric square frame part 57 for reinforcement is formed surrounding an ink discharge energygenerating part form area 62 on a diaphragm 55 of a Cr film. The square frame part 57 is continuous without being divided in an area corresponding to the ink discharge energy-generating part form area 62. A thermal stress and a stress resulting from a difference between a crystal structure of the piezoelectric body and a crystal structure of the Cr are generated in the diaphragm 55. The square frame part 57 restrains by its mechanical strength an action of the diaphragm 55 to shrink due to the stress in the diaphragm 55. An ink discharge energy-generating part main body 60 has arc form parts 60a and 60b at both ends. An individual electrode 61 has arc form parts 61a and 61b at both ends. The arc form parts 60a, 60b, 61a and 61b function not to concentrate an internal stress generated to the diaphragm 55.
