PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a bleaching preparation excellent in storage stability and having good feeling to users without impairing bleaching effect even in the presence of a water-soluble L-ascorbic acid derivative. SOLUTION: This bleaching preparation comprises (a) 0.5-5 wt.% water-soluble ascorbic acid derivative, (b) 0.1-3 wt.% organic acid salt and (c) 0.1-10 wt.% water-swelling clay mineral. In this case, formulation weight ratio [(a)+(b)/(c)] of the above components (a) to (c) is 1:(0.1-20).
