PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an unbalanced load from being transmitted to a fixed support frame when a rotary shaft in a gas turbine is put in an unbalanced state. SOLUTION: A device for supporting a rotary shaft 10 in a gas turbine includes a first bearing 30 and a fixed support frame 20, and the rotary shaft 10 includes an integral flange 60. The integral flange 60 includes a first part 62, a second part 64 and a defective part 66 having a prescribed load tolerance and connecting the first part 62 and the second part 64. The bearing 30 constitutes a load passage between the fixed support frame 20 and the rotary shaft 10. When a load exceeding the load tolerance is applied to the defective area 66, the defective area 66 becomes defective, and the first part 62 and the second part 64 of the flange 60 separate, so that the load passage via the bearing 30 is lost.
