SELF-EMULSIFYING POLYISOCYANATE, AQUEOUS COATING MATERIAL AND AQUEOUS ADHESIVE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a self-emulsifying polyisocyanate having excellent antifoaming property and water dispersing stability, sufficient pot life in a water dispersing state and having excellent physical properties after curing, and an aqueous coating material and an aqueous adhesive using the polyisocyanate. SOLUTION: This self-emulsifying polyisocyanate is obtained by reacting (A) an active hydrogen group-containing ionic surfactant obtained by bonding (a1) a compound containing an ethylenic unsaturated bonding and an active hydrogen group with (a2) in ethylenically unsaturated bonding-containing ionic surfactant by radical polymerization, (B) an active hydrogen group-containing nonionic surfactant, and (D) another active hydrogen group-containing compound, and occasionally, with (C) an organic polyisocyanate. The aqueous coating material or the aqueous adhesive is obtained by using the resultant self- emulsifying polyisocyanate.
