<p>Process for electroslag casting and surfacing, which process can be characterised in that it is lead through a consumable electrode sintered to 70 - 80 percent of theoretical thickness and the weld is exhibited to an influence of a magnetic field ranging from 0.1 to 0.15 T. The solution proposed affords a removal of a thick cast structure of welded metal, significant improvement of mechanical properties thereof, significant decrease of the penetration and reduction of the thermal effect upon the base material. Said solution can be utilised during the high-capacity alloy welding process and the surfacing process where a very low penetration-depth and mixing of welded metal with the base material is required.</p> |
