PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a medicated cosmetic capable of activating the functions of skin without damaging the skin, promoting the regeneration of the skin and manifesting remarkable effects on improvement in common acne and skin roughening by formulating an extract solution from a leaf, etc., of Alpinia speciosa K. Schum. of the family Zingiberaceae with a cosmetic base. SOLUTION: This medicated cosmetic is obtained by formulating an extract solution or a pressed juice from a leaf or a stem of Alpinia speciosa K. Schum. of the family Zingiberaceae with a cosmetic base. The amount of the added extract solution or pressed juice from the Alpinia speciosa K. Schum. is 0.1-25 wt.% based on the cosmetic base. The cosmetic is capable of improving symptoms of common acne and skin roughening. The extract from the Alpinia speciosa K. Schum. is obtained by chopping the leaf or stem and extracting the chopped leaf or stem with water or a single organic solvent such as 1,3- butylene glycol and ethanol or a mixture thereof at normal temperatures or under heating. |
