PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device, with which the temperature adjustment of an intermediate transferring belt can be rapidly realized by liquid cooling which assures a heat exchanging capability higher than that by air cooling. SOLUTION: A liquid medium, which is held at a desired temperature with a liquid temperature controlling device 16, is circulated with a liquid circulating device 15 in a liquid medium passage within a belt driving roller 3 so as to keep the outer peripheral part of the belt driving roller 3 at a desired temperature. By the heat exchange between an intermediate transferring belt 2 and the belt driving roller 3 through the contact of the belt driving roller 3 with the rear surface of the intermediate transferring belt 2, the temperature on the transferring surface side of the intermediate transferring belt 2 is adjusted to a desired temperature.
