PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutter to press and cut rice cake and the like by turning a blade, which can move the blade downward easily when the edge of a blade point is retrogressed after many times of grinding of the blade. SOLUTION: In a blade support device, a pair of fixing plates 2, 2 are fixed on a cutting stand 1 at regular intervals, a pair of sliding plates 4, 4 are placed between the fixing plates 2, 2 and a blade 5 is placed between the sliding plates 4, 4. The blade is attached by means of the fixed plates, sliding plates and a supporting shaft 6 inserted into a shaft hole so that it can be turned. A shaft hole 7 provided in the fixing plates is formed to be longer in a vertical direction than in a horizontal direction. A means to fix the sliding plates on the fixing plates firmly is provided.
