PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a useful rust preventive film forming and working method for a guard cable capable of sufficiently exhibiting its rust preventing effect by selecting the kinds of metal thermal spraying in such a manner that aluminum thermal spraying is adopted in the case of salt damage regions, and aluminum zinc alloy thermal spraying is adopted in the case of heavy industry regions. SOLUTION: A galvanized iron stranded wire guard cable is inserted into an uncoiler device 2. Next, the galvanized iron stranded wire guard cable successively fed from the prestage is heated to a required temp. via a high frequency heating device 3. Then, it is fed to a metal thermal spraying device 4, and metal thermal sprayed coating is formed on the outer circumferential face of the galvanized iron stranded wire. Next, it is sufficiently cooled via a cooling device 5 and is thereafter fed to a take-off device 6. By the take-off device 6, the guard cable is taken off at a certain speed and is fed to a coiling device in the following stage. Then, preferably, the guard cable in which the metal sprayed coating has been formed on the outer circumferential face is successively coiled into a coiled shape by the coiling device 7. |
