PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject paper machine wires enabling high-quality paper to be manufactured through designing an additional group of weft threads to be interwoven between the respective weft layers of both upper and lower fabrics so as to improve the stability of the cross direction of the fabrics. SOLUTION: Paper machine wires 41 have such a scheme that, an additional group 50 of weft threads are interwoven between the weft thread layer 44 of the upper fabric on a paper surface and the weft thread layer 46 of the lower fabric 43 on a traveling surface to mutually space the weft thread layers 44 and 46, and the above additional group 50 and binding threads 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32, 36 and 40 interwoven with the upper and lower fabrics 42 and 43 are ensured to alternate within the central layer.
