PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition for treatment of restenosis by including a pharmaceutically effective amount of a complex of heparan or heparin sulfate and dermatan sulfate together with a support. SOLUTION: This composition for treatment of restenosis is obtained by including (A) a pharmaceutically effective amount of a complex of heparan or heparin sulfate and dermatan sulfate (pref. in the weight ratio of the heparan or heparin sulfate to dermatan sulfate of >1, more pref. about 8:2, in particular sulodexide) together with (B) a pharmaceutically acceptable support (pref. suitable for the sustained release of the ingredient A, in particular a biomedical device such as a coil, artificial valve, blood vessel graft or stent). The restenosis as the objects for the treatment using this composition are pref. such ones as to be resulted from medical treatments including percutaneous intubation coronary artery plasty, atheroma excision, laser blood vessel plasty, arterial bypass transplantation, and cardiac transplantation.
