PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatically inserted bookmarker, with which a waste such as a repeated reading of the same passage can be avoided through the possibility of the immediate reading continuous with the interruption of reading even after the interruption without pinching a bookmarker between pages during the interruption or having a dog-ear even under the condition that the thickness of pages, between which a bookmarker is put, is thicker, the bookmarker is employed in a large sized book made of hard paper and a book is closed for the interruption of reading. SOLUTION: In an automatically inserted bookmarker 10 having a fixing part 12, which is fixed to a book, and a marker part 13 to be inserted between pages during reading, one end of the basic end side of the marker part 13 has a connecting part 14 connecting with the fixing part 12. A sheet-like matter 15 is composed of the fixing part 12, the connecting part 14 and the marker part 13. The connecting part 14 and the marker part 13 are formed into a band-like form by means of cuts 19, 20 and 23 starting at points 24 and 25, which are both the ends of a fold 26.
