ORGANIC-INORGANIC MULTILAYERED MATERIAL AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an org.-inorg. multilayered material having a material showing photocatalytic action as a surface layer but not deteriorating a substrate supporting the same and a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: In an org.-inorg. multilayered material having a substrate and the intermediate layer and photocatalytically acting layer successively formed on the surface thereof, the intermediate layer comprises an org.-inorg. hybrid material obtained by hydrolysing and polycondensing a mixture of an org. polymer having a metal alkoxide group as a functional group or an org. polymer having a functional group capable of reacting with a metal alkoxide compd. and a metal alkoxide compd. to crosslink the same and the photocatalaytically acting layer comprises metal oxide showing photocatalytic action.
