PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy-to-construct window frame mounting structure capable of preventing entrance of rainwater without using exterior walls made of special ALC and nor using curing sealants which are likely to crack. SOLUTION: A window frame placement member 8 is mounted on a lintel 7 on the underside of an opening 4 and the frame 32 of an exterior wall 3 is mounted on the outdoor side of the window frame placement member 8. In this case, an elastic sealant 85 is sandwiched between the frame 32 and the window frame placement member 8. Window frame fixing metal fittings 6 are attached to the frame 32 of the exterior wall 3 on the upper side and both sides of the opening 4. Mounting pieces 56 are mounted to the window frame 5 and to the widow frame fixing metal fittings 6. In that case, an elastic sealant 68 is mounted between the frame 32 and the window frame fixing metal fittings 6 and an elastic sealant 69 is mounted between the mounting pieces 56 and the window frame fixing metal fittings 6. The lintel 7 and the window frame fixing metal fittings 6 are attached to a structural member 19.
