PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a recalibration method for a used die-tube wherein a die- tube which is perfectly water tight and stable in shape, positionally fastened in a water box is created on one hand and, after processings can be applied repeatedly to the die-tube without connection to an after treatment of a sealing problem or a damage of a die material on the other hand. SOLUTION: This method is related to a die-tube which is sealed in a water box on its top end, can be fastened its position and stable against a cooling water pressure in this area. A peripheral groove 9 is installed with a distance against a top end face 3 of a tube wall 4, and a U shape flange 10 is engaged in the peripheral groove by an inside catching web 11. A step part 5 is installed adjacent to the top end face 3 having its radial direction length smaller than a depth of the peripheral groove 9. This step can be fastened to the U shape flange with screws under a seal against the tube wall 4 and a flange of a water box. A strengthening frame 6 being supported by the flange can also be fastened by a precision engagement.
