PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for supplying liquid, which prevents clogging of a liquid supply port for an esterification reactor with the solidified reactor effluent attached to and grown at the port, and thereby securing continuous supply of the liquid. SOLUTION: This method supplies a reactor 1 with a stock slurry, which is pumped by a liquid supply pump 11 and intermittently pressurized by a pressure-increasing device 10 to flow through a liquid supply line 5, joins the effluent stream recycling through a recycling line 6, and is heated by a heat exchanger 2 and enters the reactor 1 through a recycling line 7 together with the effluent stream. The reactor effluent leaves the reactor 1 through the recycling line 6, and is partly withdrawn from the line 6 by an effluent withdrawing pump 8 to be sent to the reactor tank in the subsequent step. The slurry is intermittently pressurized by the pressure-increasing device 10 to 0.02 MPa or more, to remove deposits formed on the liquid supply port.
