The device comprises two upstream conveying arrangements each serving one object entry (A1, A2) and converging towards a common downstream conveying arrangement by which a receiving arrangement is served. Each of the three conveying arrangements comprises two belts (4, 7 or 4', 7' or 7, 7') between which the objects are gripped on a conveying path which is preferably straight. The two upstream conveying paths each serve one of the object entries of the device. They converge symmetrically towards the downstream pa th with which they define a Y-shaped structure, the arms of which Y are a small angle apart so as to limit the inflection of the objects as they pass into a zone of convergence which is common to the three paths.
