Determining the concentration of nitrogen in water by subtraction of measured partial pressure of other gases in enclosed chamber

In a process to determine the concentration of nitrogen in water or waste water, the water is held under a semi-permeable membrane within an overhead closed chamber. A pressure sensor located in the chamber above the membrane measures the total partial pressure in the chamber. The partial pressure of other gases is subtracted from the total, thereby determining the partial pressure of nitrogen.
