<p>An ink jet type recording head capable of discharging a plurality of kinds of ink and being reduced in size and providing images of high quality. An actuator unit (501) has a plurality of pressure generating chambers (310) arranged in the same row, and a plurality of pressure generating means (17) for pressurizing the ink in the plurality of pressure generating chambers (310). A flow channel unit (502) has a plurality of nozzle openings (23) that communicate with the plurality of pressure generating chambers (310) and from which drops of ink are discharged when the ink in the pressure generating chambers (310) is pressurized by the pressure generating means (17), and at least two common ink chambers (330) communicating with the plurality of pressure generating chambers (310) and storing ink to be fed into the plurality of pressure generating chambers (310). The plurality of pressure generating chambers (310) are classified into a plurality of groups along the same row and a common ink chamber (330 (C), (M), (Y)) is provided for each group.</p> |
