The invention includes methods and devices for delivery of one or more therapeutic or diagnostic agents to a body region, such as a blood vessel wall. More specifically, the invention pertains to a drug delivery device that includes a body having a plurality of coils and an interstice that occurs between the coils and wherein a therapeutic or diagnostic agent is carried within the interstice to be delivered to a biological tissue including muscle tissue, neoplastic tissue, vascular tissue, or any other type of body tissue.
