METHOD FOR ESTIMATING MOVING PICTURE MOTION BY TRACKING PUPIL IMAGE IN MOVING PICTURE ENCODER

PURPOSE: A method for estimating moving picture motion by tracking pupil image in a moving picture encoder is provided to record a characteristics of a pupil image of a person priorly and to recognize and track the pupil image of the same person. CONSTITUTION: A method for estimating moving picture motion by tracking pupil image in a moving picture encoder includes first thru third steps. At the first step, characteristics of a pupil image of a person is priorly recognized and recorded when the face of the person is encoded and transmitted to the moving picture encoder. At the second step, the location of the pupil is tracked using the recognized pupil moving picture from the first step, and a pupil image with most proximity to the recognized pupil image. At the third step, information on a motion of an object is extracted by tracking consecutively the current image input at every region of the pupil image from the second step.
