PURPOSE: A method for transferring error information of video communication system is provided to transfer the error information by way of an audio channel between the transmitter and the receiver. CONSTITUTION: A method for transferring error information of video communication system includes first thru third steps. At the first step, whether an error is occurred in received signal through network is determined. At the second step, an intraframe is required through an audio codec to a video phone on the other part when an error is detected in the first step. At the third step, the intraframe required by one part is decoded and transferred by controlling the video codec of the video phone of the other part which receives the intraframe require signal.
