PURPOSE: A monitoring and controlling system for a digital-trunked radio system base station(D-TRS) using an RTU(Remote Terminal Unit) is provided to execute analog information processing as well as digital information processing for base station environments. CONSTITUTION: In a system that a base station(10) and a switching station(40) are connected through a modem(30), a base station environment monitoring apparatus monitors the environments of the base station by connecting a smoke detection sensor(11), a heat detection sensor(12), a cooler(13), a UPS(14), an entrance door detection sensor(15), a fire monitoring sensor(16) and a SC(Sector Controller)(17) to a RTU(20) of the base station(10) with a TPU(Tx Processing Unit), an RPU(Rx Processing Unit) and an FPU(Frame Processing Unit). The RTU collects digital and analog information from the TPU, the RPU, the FPU and the SC(17) and information related to environments from the smoke detection sensor(11), the heat detection sensor(12), the entrance door detection sensor(15) and the fire monitoring sensor(16). The RTU(20) collects and controls a variety of status information through the cooler(13), the UPS(14) and RS-232 communication, and reports to an environment monitoring control computer through the modem(30).
