CONTROL METHOD FOR PREVENTING OVERHEAT OF HEATER

PURPOSE: A method for preventing the overheat of a heater is provided to decide the real overheating state of a heater exactly by setting each reference overheat temperature depending on a plurality of indoor temperatures. CONSTITUTION: A user operates a key input unit to set a desired indoor temperature and start a heater. The key input unit transmits an operating signal of the user to a control unit, and an indoor temperature sensor detects the current indoor temperature and sends it to the control unit. After that, the control unit decides if the current indoor temperature is lower than the desired temperature of the user and raises the indoor temperature by turning on a heater and a ventilating fan. A heater temperature sensor delivers the detected temperature of a heater to the control unit. The control unit compares the temperature with the reference overheat temperature and turns off the heater and the ventilating fan in the overheat state. The control unit also displays an overheat error.
