PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for updating a program are provided to update a program from a remote place by using a network. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for updating a program comprises a flash memory(230), a system memory(240), a CPU(210), a network interface portion(250), a system control portion(220), a reset logic(280), and an address control portion(290). The flash memory stores a program for controlling a system operation. The system memory stores operation data according to the system operation. The CPU controls a whole operation of the system. The network interface portion communicates with a remote server. The system control portion provides buses. The reset logic resets the system. The address control portion provides an address to the flash memory.
