PURPOSE: A television with a noise attenuation for audio signal capability is provided to compensate the noise component only when the channel status is below a predetermined level. CONSTITUTION: A television with a noise attenuation for audio signal capability includes a tuner(10A), an intermediate amplifier(20A), an audio signal processor(30A), an audio signal amplifier(40A), a storage(90), a signal magnitude detector(60), a micom(80), and a band pass filter controller(70). The storage(90) stores the reference signal level for determining an audio signal magnitude. The signal magnitude detector(60) receives an audio intermediate frequency signal from the image intermediate frequency amplifier and detects and outputs the magnitude of the signal. The micom(80) compares the magnitude of the signal from the reference value stored and generates a control signal according to the compared result. The band pass filter controller(70) controls the band pass filter characteristics. |
