PHOTOSENSITIVE OPTICAL FIBER

PURPOSE: A photosensitive optical fiber is provided to increase the strength of the photosensitivity by adding fluoride and B2O3 simultaneously. CONSTITUTION: A photosensitivity distribution and the deflection distribution of a photo sensitive inner cladding is regulated freely. The cladding mode coupling loss is restrained in the optical fiber bragg grate. The distribution of the photosensitivity is regulated, and the rate of deflection is increased. The distribution of the photosensitivity and the distribution of the deflection are regulated simultaneously. By regulating the distribution of the photosensitivity and the distribution of the deflection simultaneously, a high index core structure is accomplished.
