PURPOSE: A method for searching the data of a trunk line and route in a switching system is provided to reduce a risk of a data loss during a signal processing between processors, by adding a parameter a routine for searching the data of the trunk line, and simultaneously outputting the searched data of the trunk line and route to an operator. CONSTITUTION: An access switching processor(ASP) checks whether an instruction is received from an operation and maintenance processor(301). The ASP analyzes the received instruction in detail at a telephone device maintenance handler(313). The ASP determines whether the analyzed instruction is for requesting the data of the trunk line and route(315). The ASP performs a job corresponding to the inputted instruction(317). The ASP checks a number, interface method, type and state of the trunk line, based on processor load data of a database management system(319). The ASP checks a route related to the checked trunk line(321). The ASP transmits the data of the checked trunk line and route to the operation and maintenance processor(323).
