METHOD FOR ESTABLISHING RECORDING MODE IN VCR

PURPOSE: A method for establishing a recording mode in a VCR is provided to stably operate the recording mode by letting a user establish the recording mode of the VCR on an OSD menu while eliminating a recording mode switch. CONSTITUTION: A tape for recording or for playing back is inserted to a deck for inputting a menu selecting signal. Then established VCR menus are displayed on a screen. If a recording menu is selected, the deck is converted into the recoding mode. If a recording key input signal is fed in the recoding mode, an external image signal to be recorded is recorded in the inserted videotape. Therefore, the recording mode is established on an OSD menu regardless of the existence of a recording tap for recording the external image signal in the videotape by selecting the recording key while eliminating a recoding mode switch.
