PURPOSE: A method for separating a heavy liquid and light liquid using a centrifugal separator with a screw and a suction impeller is provided which reduces an average residence time by absorbing two liquid phases using the suction impeller that prevents the generation of a whirl and a dead zone. CONSTITUTION: In a centrifugal separator for separating a heavy liquid and light liquid, the centrifugal separator comprises (a)a frame part which is supported by a main supporter (33), an auxiliary supporter (30), an upper supporter (32), and a lower supporter (38) and consisted of the exterior of the separator with a transparent device protection plate (34) and the interior with an acrylic room, (b) a power transmission part consisted of a direct current motor (36), a rotation shaft (1), a pulley (4), and a belt (3), (c) a conveying device part consisted of a fluid conveying screw(21) of a housing and a fluid conveying screw (20) of a rotator, (d)a suction impeller (22), and a separation weir. The fluid conveying screws (20)(21) supply mixed two liquid phases from the lower directly and prevent the ascension of a fluid between a housing and a rotor. |
