PURPOSE: A method for forming a screen of a color cathode ray tube is provided to simultaneously form a color filter layer and a fluorescent body layer and improve the quality of a fluorescent layer. CONSTITUTION: A light absorbing layer is formed on the inner surface of a panel of a color cathode ray tube. A photoresist liquid which is a slurry is coated. A fluorescent body powder is coated on the photoresist. A color filter layer and a fluorescent layer are simultaneously formed through the exposure and the developing. According to the method for forming a screen of a color cathode ray tube, a color filter layer and a fluorescent body layer can be simultaneously formed and the quality of a fluorescent layer is improved.
