PURPOSE: A payment service method through the internet is provided so that a payment service can be easily performed between members and banking agencies, by depositing a deposit money of the members in their accounts of a certain banking agency and managing balances of the members through virtual accounts opened in a special database. CONSTITUTION: A payment service provider opens a payment account in a certain banking agency(S210). Users register in the payment service through a payment service server(S223), and virtual accounts for each member are opened in a database(S225). When the payment service server confirms deposits to the payment account from each member, the deposits are reflected to the virtual accounts of the members(S232). Upon the members' request, the payment service server transmits money among the virtual accounts of the corresponding members(S243), or requests to the banking agency where the payment account is opened, the money transmission from the payment account to the corresponding banking agency(S245) and, reflects the results in their virtual accounts(S247).
