PURPOSE: A method for simultaneously eliminating nitrogen oxides and dioxin compound from waste gas with high efficiency using a unique catalyst is provided. CONSTITUTION: A method for simultaneously eliminating nitrogen oxides and dioxin compound from waste gas comprises the steps: adding ammonia as a reducing agent to the waste gas containing nitrogen oxides and dioxin; and passing the waste gas is passed through the catalyst essentially comprising 1-40 wt% of chrome oxides supported on alumina carrier based on total weight of the catalyst at temperature 200 to 400°C.
