PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent water entry through the gap between the part where the fuel gage is inserted and the fuel gauge mounting cylinder in the top plate of the tank. SOLUTION: In a tank top plate 3 of a tank body 2, a fuel gauge mounting cylinder 5 to mount a fuel gauge 9 is provided. The fuel gauge 9 is constituted by a fitting portion that is inserted into the fuel gauge mounting cylinder 5 and an observation port 10 at the top end of that fitting portion. A flange 12 at the peripheral edge of the observation port 10 engages with a top end 13 of the fuel gauge mounting cylinder 5. Inside the tank top plate 3, a groove 14 that surrounds the fuel gauge mounting cylinder 5 is made lower than the top end 13 of the fuel gauge mounting cylinder 5.
