PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal that that directly prints out facsimile data sent from other facsimile data transmitter onto paper or stores the data to a computer, depending on the purpose of a user and an operating state of the facsimile terminal. SOLUTION: A paper output flag is set, when facsimile data sent from an opposite device can be recorded in a paper output mode, and a substitute flag is set when the data cannot be recorded. A recorder of the facsimile terminal records the facsimile data and prints out the data, when a personal computer cannot receive the facsimile data in an output mode selected for a PC priority mode and when the recorder cannot record the facsimile data, the facsimile data are stored in a data reception buffer of the facsimile terminal. When the output mode is a 'PC-ONLY' mode, the data are also stored in a reception buffer on the facsimile side. |
