PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system capable of reducing the number of parts and enhancing a reliability. SOLUTION: This lighting system is provided with a lamp 11; a turn-on circuit parts 12 for turning on the lamp 11; a storage battery 14 connected to the turn-on circuit part 12 and charged by a commercial power source 13; and a state indication light source 15 for keeping a first turn-on state if a charging state of the storage battery 14 is good and for making a second turn-on state if the charging state is bad. In the case where a feeding from the commercial power source 13 is cut off in an emergency, the turn-on circuit part 12 turns on the lamp 11 by a feeding from the storage battery 14. The state indication light source becomes a third turn-on state if the lamp 11 becomes a state of expiring a lamp life.
