PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid detergent composition good in infiltration into wool fibers and, at the same time, excellent in flexibility and rinsing properties by incorporating a terminally blocked nonionic surface active agent having a narrow distribution of alkylene oxide addition moles, a nonionic surface active agent composed of an ethylene oxide adduct of a specific alcohol, an anionic surface active agent having an SO3 group or an SO4 group and a specific cationic surface active agent. SOLUTION: A liquid detergent composition comprises 15 pts.wt. C11H23CO (CH2CH2)9OCH3 having a degree of narrowness of 70 wt.%, 10 pts.wt. alcohol ethoxide obtained by adding average 9 mol ethylene oxide to 1 mol secondary alcohol having a 12-14 carbon chain alkyl group, 2 pts.wt. sodium alkyl (10-14C) benzene sulfonate, 2.7 pts.-wt. mono-long chain alkyl (18C) trimethylammonium chloride, 0.15 pt.wt. perfume, 5 pts.wt. ethanol, citric acid or sodium citrate (a pH adjusting amount) and purified water (balance).
