PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively control a pest by heightening the volatilizing efficiency of a pest-controlling component by allowing the pest-controlling component volatilized by a specific method to be diffused in air by the flow of a combustion gas caused by the combustion of an inflammable gas. SOLUTION: A pest-controlling component is volatilized from a supporter of chemicals, formed by allowing a carrier to carry the chemicals containing the pest-controlling component by the combustion gas caused by the combustion of an inflammable gas, and the volatilized pest-controlling component is diffused in the air by the flow of the combustion gas. The quantity of the flow of the inflammable gas is preferably >=0.3 g/hr, and the carrier can be heat-resistant papers, a porous resin base material, a porous inorganic base material, a porous mat or a gel-like base material.
