PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording method not lowering the gloss of thermal transfer recording image acceptable paper with gloss. SOLUTION: The thermal transfer recording method employs a transfer recording sheet having an image acceptable body including an image acceptable layer provided on the base material and a coloring layer containing thermal transfer coloring matter, in which the base material of the image acceptable body comprises a lamination film with a polyethyleneterephthalate layer having voids and thermoplastic resin surface layer having no voids substantially being laminated in turn, and a coloring layer of the transfer recording sheet contains polyvinyl acetal resin.
