PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic coating composition which yields a coating film having a high weather resistance and gloss property and suffers little whitening, even on outdoor exposure. SOLUTION: This metallic coating composition contains a fluorine-containing copolymer comprising (a) from 5 to 70 mol% fluoroolefin monomer unit, (b) from 20 to 80 mol% (meth)acrylic ester monomer unit and (c) from 1 to 20 mol% olefin monomer unit having a hydrolyzable silyl group, a silane coupling agent and a metallic pigment. When the metallic coating composition contains a partially hydrolyzed condensate of an alkoxy silane, it may form a coating further having an antifouling property.
