A gear shift lock for locking a gear shiftlever of an automobile with a manual transmission is disclosed. The lock has a ring with a through hole defined therethrough and a tube with a protrusion formed to be alternatively received in the through hole. When the protrusion is received in the through hole, the gear shiftlever is not able to be moved. When the protrusion of the tube is away from the through hole of the ring, the gear shiftlever is in an unlocked state and able to move freely. |
