PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high speed thin line coaxial cable and a high speed thin line flat coaxial cable having a high speed signal transmittance equal to that of a conventional high speed thin line coaxial cable and enhancing a terminal machinability. SOLUTION: In the high speed thin line coaxial cable, an insulator 2 and a skin layer 3 are provided on an outer periphery of a center conductor 1 to form an insulator core c and a drain line 4 is vertically placed on an outer side of the insulator core c. An outer conductor 7 is formed by a conductive tape comprising a metal laminate tape, a metal vapor-deposition tape or a metal tape so as to surround the insulator core c and the drain line 4 and a jacket layer is coated on an outer periphery of the outer conductor 7. In this case, a conductive layer 5 is coated on an outer periphery of the drain line 4 and an outer diameter of the drain line 4 is made fat to form a drain conductor 6 and a distance between the drain line 4 and the insulator core c (center conductor 1) is apart.
