PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary throttle valve type diaphragm carburetor equipped with an acceleration pump arranged in the upper outer end part of a carburetor body and directly driven by a throttle valve lever. SOLUTION: A throttle valve having a throttle hole is fitted in a cylindrical valve chamber crossing an intake passage, a valve shaft 17a projected from the throttle valve to an upper part is passed through a cover plate 9 closing the valve chamber so as to be supported, a stopper 60 regulating the fully opening position of a throttle valve lever 3 connected to the valve shaft 17a is arranged on the cover plate 9. An acceleration pump C having a piston pushed by the side edge part of the throttle valve lever 3 is arranged in the stopper 60.
