PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a new modified fluororesin comprising continually maintaining the temperature of the corresponding fluororesin within the optimum crosslinking temperature range so as to enable continuous irradiation and crosslinking treatment operation. SOLUTION: This method for producing a modified fluororesin comprises the following process: a sheet-like fluororesin is heated to a specified temperature in a low-oxygen atmosphere and, while moving the resin, it is irradiated with ionizing radiation from above to effect crosslinking and thus modifying the resin, wherein the dose of the ionizing radiation is regulated so that the crosslinking temperature for the fluororesin comes within the range of the melting point±20 deg.C; thereby the temperature of the fluorororesin can be continually maintained within the optimum crosslinking temperature range, thus enabling continuous irradiation and crosslinking treatment operation. |
