PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce actuation sound of a hydraulic pump during brake assist control in a brake control device to supply output brake hydraulic pressure of a hydraulic pump to a wheel cylinder to conduct the brake assist control. SOLUTION: Shutoff valves SC1, SC2 are set at closed positions, suction valves SI1, SI2 are set at opened positions, and hydraulic pumps HP1, HP2 are driven, so as to supply output brake hydraulic pressure of the hydraulic pumps HP1, HP2 to a wheel cylinder WFr, etc., to conduct brake assist control. When output hydraulic pressure of a master cylinder MC is in a reduced or held condition, it is determined that a brake pedal BP is stopped as it is stepped, and drive quantity of the hydraulic pumps HP1, HP2 is controlled to be smaller than drive quantity of the hydraulic pumps HP1, HP2 when output hydraulic pressure of the master cylinder MC is increased by duty control of a motor M, for example.
